I am indeed using the latest available Spotify version for Linux Mint Xfce vers. 18.3. (Without the possibility to switch off HW acceleration). This combination reboots my laptop every few minutes and is of course useless to me. I also tried to install an older Spotify version on my Mint 18.3. However this older version does not startup.
